Notes on this eclipse as I see it…….
Eclipses have long been a source of fascination among those involved in astrology, metaphysics and also in the nature loving witches around us. Astrologically speaking an eclipse always portends changes around us. A New Moon Eclipse represents things coming together, emphasizes caring and relationship with those around us. Also important with regard to the eclipse – the planet the Moon passes over after the Sun is of high importance as those matters represented by the planets will take precedence over peoples lives. In the present eclipse today that planet would be Mercury so lots of talk, talk, talk is in the air! It completes a conjunctions with the South Node indicating people are who they are and show it, yet it ends with the Moon catching up to Venus before it leaves the sign of Leo! Matters will end up with love and understanding and this energy will predominate for the coming six months.
Those who have 9 Degrees Leo (or two degrees either way) planets will be most affected – also those with this degree on an angle in the birth chart. That birthday would be anytime between July 31 and August 3rd. New relationships will come of this eclipse and many will marry before the year is out. Anyone know the statistics on marriage in the U.S? Well, I bet it will double in the coming year! I think there will be more parties and fun times as well. Actually, the economy will improve here for a while with a more optimistic bend. It depends on our character and our leader’s characters, how things will play out late next year.
One of the big keys in this whole eclipse cycle is the Full Moon coming up August 16th is a Lunar Eclipse, while this one was Solar. The energy will change and take on a more feminine quality and lightness. Issues of trust will be overcome, and relationships are set in place and relied upon or they will break altogether at and around this time. A lunar eclipse is a full moon when the Sun and Moon are in opposition so an objective solution and understanding is in order. Objectivity always improves relationships and negotiations of all kinds.
